Mattress Topper
Why do people typically buy your mattress topper?
Our mattress topper is super popular amongst customers who have a mattress that is too firm and want to transform it to a softer feel. The topper will take pressure off your body without detracting from the support of the mattress. Customers also purchase our topper when they are somewhat happy with their current mattress, but want to take it to another level of luxury and comfort.
Can you use an electric blanket with your mattress topper?
Yes you can. You should place the electric blanket beneath our mattress topper and the heat will gradually seep through.
What makes your mattress topper healthier than other options?
Creating a healthier sleep environment is crucial to experiencing a more restorative sleep. There are no animal products used in our range, you can machine wash and tumble dry our topper (in commercial sized machines) and they are hypoallergenic. We go a step further by using HealthGuard protection to ensure it is anti-dust mite and anti-bacterial.
Does your mattress topper contain animal products?
No, our microCloud Mattress Topper does not use any animal products. We use our innovative microCloud fibre blend which is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.
What is a Mattress topper?
Mattress toppers (also known as bed toppers) are designed to add a luxuriously soft layer of comfort to the sleeping surface of your mattress. The best quality toppers are generously filled, don’t go flat or sag easily and implement a ‘boxed’ design to create cells ensuring even distribution of filling throughout the topper.
Do microCloud toppers overheat?
microCloud toppers are designed to ventilate and breathe well by encouraging airflow. The construction of our topper consists of ultra-fine fibre filling (almost finer than human hair!), and a Japara cotton casing. This combination allows air to flow through easily, ensuring the mattress topper is temperature neutral. Various other mattress toppers on the market are made from foams, latex and ball fibre which are naturally dense materials and trap heat.
What is the best way to store a topper?
If you need to store your topper, we recommend vacuum storage bags (also known as ‘Space Bags’) which are readily available at large stores such as Bunnings and Big W. Do make sure that your topper is clean and dry before storage.
Do mattress toppers need protection from soiling?
It makes perfect sense to protect your mattress topper from soiling. Our design team, combined with input from executive housekeepers, certainly believe that to maintain a topper in perfect, fresh, and healthy condition is just as important as doing the same for pillows and mattresses. Our mattress & topper protectors are perfect to be used as a complete protection for our toppers.
Hotel Pillow
What makes your pillow unique and different from others?
Most pillows in the market are either too soft or too hard, lack support or are not comfortable. Our microCloud Hotel Pillow has a soft cradling feel whilst supporting your head and neck. It’s truly the ideal balance of support and comfort.
What is the difference between your standard size and king size pillows?
The king size is 20cm longer than the standard size pillow. Apart from the length, they are essentially the same pillow. The king size is popular at hotels and amongst domestic customers who have a king size bed as they fit the width better from an aesthetic perspective. However, please be aware that king size pillowcases can be difficult to come by.
What sleep positions do your pillows suit?
The pillow was designed to be used on every bed of premium hotels with high guest expectations. Guests have a variety of sleep positions and needs. Therefore, our pillow is designed to be suitable for side, back and stomach sleepers. It has a soft pressure-relieving feel whilst also being supportive.
Are your pillows really used in hotels?
Yes. We have been supplying the accommodation industry with our hotel pillow for over 15 years. Some of the properties who select our microCloud pillow include Oaks, 8hotels, Meletos, Bells at Killcare amongst many others.
What do your pillows feel like?
Our microCloud pillow has a soft feel for luxurious comfort, whilst being supportive for your head and neck. They are considered a medium loft.
How do I care for my pillow – does it need washing?
After use, plump and fluff up the microCloud pillow to re-establish the loft. Always use a pillowcase and protector with the pillow. You can alternate the side of the pillow you sleep on. Outdoor airing in direct sunlight is recommended. If necessary, microCloud pillows can be machine washed and tumble dried. See our product care page.
Do microCloud pillows get hot?
microCloud pillows are designed to be temperature neutral. Our fine fibre fill combined with cotton outer casing allows air to enter and flow easily. If you squeeze a microCloud near flat, you will see just how much air is trapped in the pillow and how quickly it moves through the outer cotton casing.
Are microCloud pillows healthy?
Yes, they are free of any animal contamination (e.g. prickly feathers) and dust. In fact, microCloud pillows are fresh, hygienic and odourless too. As a bonus, every microCloud pillow comes complete with two quality stain-resistant, machine-washable protectors to conveniently keep microCloud pillows fresher for longer. We recommend the use of our protector for the best results.
Are your pillows cruelty-free or Vegan?
Yes, microCloud Pillows are innovative as they do not use any animal products and are 100% cruelty-free. Most conventional pillows use feathers or down which can be harvested via live plucking.

Quilt
Can I use your quilt during the warmer and humid months?
Yes, our quilt is designed for all seasons use. It is very lightweight, sleek and allows air to circulate well. This helps to regulate temperature all year round. Our quilt is protected with HealthGuard making it anti-mould which is beneficial in humid locations.
Why do you suggest a larger quilt size than my mattress?
A quilt one size larger than the size of your mattress will provide extra quilt drape. This is ideal for couples who may fight over the doona and allows less cold air to sneak in on either side. The extra drape also looks fantastic for bed presentation. Â
What is the GSM of your quilt?
Our quilt is 250GSM which means it is very lightweight. The fibre fill we developed is thermally efficient, which means we don’t need to use too much filling to ensure you keep warm.
What is the difference between quilts, duvets and doonas?
Fortunately, there is no difference at all. They all describe the same item. The word ‘duvet’ originated in Europe; quilt is the common term of reference in Australia; and ‘Doona’ is a brand name that has become a generic term for quilt.
Why create a microCloud quilt?
Our design team researched the commonly used quilts and our research team investigated people’s likes and dislikes. What we discovered was that:
- numerous quilts are simply too heavy and too hot
- wool quilts were not too hot but were too heavy
- cheap polyester quilts were uncomfortable, too stiff and didn’t last long
- feather-type quilts rated poorly due to odour problems and allergy issues and prickly quills.
- silk rated very highly on all fronts except price, being very expensive.
It was clear to us that a fresh new approach to quilts was needed, one that took into account people’s sleeping preferences.
Why is the microCloud quilt superior?
The microCloud quilt is ultra-lightweight, has superb drape, is comfortably warm without overheating, allows airflow to assist with comfort, is odourless and has been tested for commercial laundering. The all-important HealthGuard treatment ensures protection against bacteria, moulds and dust mites. In short, the microCloud quilt has been designed specifically for hotel guests and the needs of the accommodation market in Australasia.
What about its appearance on the bed?
The microCloud quilt looks superb on the bed, especially when the popular triple sheeting method is used. Feedback from our many clients using these quilts has assured us that our design team have achieved their aims. Our quilt has a sleek appearance.
Is your quilt cruelty-free or Vegan?
Yes, our quilt is vegan friendly. microCloud Quilts do not use any animal products and are 100% cruelty-free. Most conventional quilts use feathers or down which can be harvested via live plucking.

Is your V Pillow the same as your Hotel Pillow?

What are the advantages of your Travel Pillow over other types of travel pillow?
The main advantage is it allows you to take the comfort of your microCloud bed pillows with you. Our travel pillow is more versatile than other options as it can be use for back support, on the bed at your destination, on the plane, camping or at the beach.
What’s the best way to pack the Travel Pillow?
Our Travel Pillow comes with a heavy-duty zippered storage bag with two carry handles. This is easily carried by hand as it’s so lightweight. You can even store your passport and other travel documents within the carry bag making them easy to access but also secure. Alternatively, the carry-bag handles can hook onto a strap of your backpack, briefcase or laptop bag.
If you want to store the pillow for long periods of time or stow it inside your luggage, then you can use a compression sack or a vacuum storage bag. This will not squash or flatten the pillow as it will bounce back as soon as you take it out of the bag.
What situations would I use the Travel Pillow?
Any situation where you’re on the move and your usual pillow is too large to bring with you. Customers have told us it is ideal for business travel, holiday, backpacking, camping, bus, plane, train, car, at the beach and even lying on the couch at home. It is also suitable for lower back support when you’re sitting.

Quilt Protector

By using your quilt protector, does that replace the need for a quilt cover?
We recommend you use a quilt cover or triple sheet method over our quilt protector.
What are quilt protectors most popular for?
Many hotels select our quilt protector if they are dressing their beds using the ‘triple sheet method’. If they adopt this method, there can be some exposed quilt that needs protecting.
Bathrobe
Will your bathrobe fit me?
Our bathrobe is designed to fit most people.  It is 123cm long which ensures it is never too short nor too long. It has a generous width size and design includes waist tie and retaining loops for a snug fit. One size; fits most women and up to size XL for men.
How does your bathrobe differ from cotton bathrobes?
Terry towel cotton robes may look sumptuous but their loop threads catch easily and pull, very quickly making a robe look second-hand and not so new. Moreover, they are quite heavy and shrinkage may be a concern; factors that can make terry-towel robes a costly mistake. Our bathrobe has a uniquely soft feel, is lightweight, retains comfort wash after wash and does not experience the issue of pulled threads.
How well does your bathrobe wash?
As with all microCloud branded products, we are dedicated to ensuring our luxury bathrobe launders superbly. Testing of the robe was undertaken at a first-class commercial laundry. Colour integrity, surface appearance, no shrinkage and softness retention all passed with ease.
Due to the fact that our robes do not shed fibres and are not the terry-towel loop style, there is never any problem with pulled threads. Your robe will look immaculate guest after guest; an important factor given first appearances are often the most critical.
microCloud filling
What is microCloud filling?
microCloud filling is a unique blend of premium grade polyester fibre, designed to provide soft luxurious comfort like pure goose down. It has the added benefit of being cruelty-free, hypoallergenic, machine washable, tumble dryable and more affordable than down.
Does microCloud filling have good recovery and loft?
We process our microCloud fibre in a unique way that creates a small crimp in each fibre strand. This allows the fibre to act like miniature springs for improved comfort, support, loft, and shape retention after being slept on.
microCloud filling has been extensively tested in the laboratory and field to ensure its loft matches that of down and far surpasses that of cheaper polyester fibres that become flat and lumpy quickly.
OEKO-TEX
What is OEKO-TEX certification?
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent certification system for textile products of all kinds which have been proven to be free of any substances which might be harmful to people’s health.
In order for an article to be certified and endorsed with the OEKO-TEX® label, every part of it without exception must comply with the required test criteria – so not only the outer material and the sewing yarns but also accessories such as ribbons, cords and filling.
HealthGuard
What is HealthGuard (anti dust mite & anti microbial)?
HealthGuard is a multifunctional Anti-Dust mite, Anti-Bacterial and Anti-Fungal treatment designed for use in bedding in order to destroy dust mite colonies that are known triggers to common health problems such as asthma and eczema.
Is HealthGuard safe for human use and why?
HealthGuard has undertaken rigorous testing to ensure its safety for human use. HealthGuard is Oeko-Tex approved, which is an independent certification body that assesses product data and determines the safety of a product. HealthGuard has undertaken human patch testing at leading dermatologist laboratories and is deemed harmless to human health.
